It was in March 2013 and I was at my wits end finalizing the return gifts for my daughters birthday party. We were not interested in buying those cheap routine Chinese stuff available. That is when hubby suggested why don't I make one myself. The idea clicked in my mind and I ended up making a few pendants out of some art clay. Making a unique pendant design and painting them by hand, the toughest part was finding chords or chains which we got from outside a small shop outside a Gurudwara. The gifts for all those lovely girls invited to the party were ready. It was an instant hit as all the young ladies loved getting something which was different from what they always got at birthday parties.
Flattery is the best reward as it is said. I was flattered when the mom's of all of the girls invited to the party started calling me up inquiring about the pendant. I ended up gifting a few to them as well.
We were clear that this idea has some merit and that is how Aartico was born. As a return gift from our Daughter.
Voila, our dining room was converted into my table and the entire dining area was changed into my studio and thats how it has been since then.
I have done quiet a few things since then and my work can be checked on my facebook page.
